Integral

Full bore coupling system for low to medium pressure; corrosive and abrasive
applications.

Single plate integral
Reinforcing rubber and fabric plies, encapsulated in solid rubber continue at right
angles against the hose body into a fl ange. The fl ange is supported by a steel
backing plate. Elimination of a conventional hose tail allows the hose to begin
fl exing immediately behind the fl ange. This is useful for applications requiring
a tight bend radius and a more uniform curvature. The backing plate is generally
vulcanized to the rubber and fabric fl ange; creating a one piece unit. This system
eliminates the necessity of a gasket yet provides a fl uid tight seal.

Heavy duty double integral

The reinforcing fabric plies extend from the body of the hose and are chemical-
ly bonded between two fl ange plates resulting in double the bonding surface
area of that found in a single plate integral fl ange. The lining rubber extends
across the surface of the face fl ange to create a sealing face which eliminates
the need for a gasket. Elimination of a hose tail allows the bending to begin
immediately behind the fl ange. This type of fl ange is commonly used on gim-
bal joint hoses and other installations where the hose is short and the required
bending radius is relatively small.
